 photo DSC_3129_526F672C_zps48f8fdae.jpg
Recently
discovered this bar, and I'm falling in love with it--Kaffa Espresso Bar. It is indeed a suitable place for gathering & chilling with friends or having your own ''me'' time.

When I first step into the bar, the environment is so retro, making me feel that I have already step back into the 90s.

The concept of this bar is to cultivate leisure through coffee & good food in a vintage American theme settings that will let us reminisce the glory of the past.

Portobello Mushroom Pasta (RM20.90)

Pasta served with a generous portion of Portobello mushrooms, red peppers, zucchini, Parmesan cheese and topped with a fried egg  before it is ready to serve.

They are very considering by serving something which is really suitable for the vegetarian who are craving for something nice here.

The spiciness of the pasta really give a ''BOOM'' to my taste bud as I don't really get use to spicy food.

Some ''fusion'' pasta, as I rarely see pasta serve together with seaweed but overall the pasta did taste nice.
Big Bites All- day Long Breakfast Platter photo DSC_3136_526F672C_zps0f9015c0.jpg

Mocha (RM12)

For coffee lover like me, how can I not order their coffee???

After a sip of this, what I can say is that the barista really did a great job by creating such a nice coffee.

The taste of the Mocha is so smooth as the combination of chocolate, coffee and cream is well balanced. Ahhhh..... I can imagine myself floating in the coffee.... HAHAHA.

Salted Caramel Macchiato photo DSC_3060_526F672C_zps07bda181.jpg
Salted Caramel Macchiato (RM12.90)

Their signature coffee-- Salted Caramel Macchiato. Freshly steamed milk, marked with espresso, topped with caramel drizzle & sea salt.

The combination of saltiness and sweetness is like dancing on my taste bud. Who knows that sugar, salt and coffee can actually mix together so well .

Oreo Cheese Cake photo DSC_3063_526F672C_zpsd04fbf1c.jpg
Oreo Cheese Cake (RM11)

I mean who can say NO when it comes to dessert even after a heavy meal???
 Totally not me.

There is a few selection of their homemade cakes and we selected this cake. But not as we expected, we can only taste the rich flavor of the milk rather than the cheese.

I think they can make an improvement in their cakes and I'm looking forward for their great shot during my 2nd visit.

Hello 2014

Long
time didn't update my blog since after my KL trip, today I finally have the time to sit back on my couch and review what I have done in the year of 2013 and plan for a better 2014.

In this brand new year, I made a list, hoping that I can fulfill it before year 2015.

1.Lose weight!!!
HAHAHA, discipline!! Sometimes I just can't resist the temptation of those yummy desserts.

2. Dye my hair.
I always want to dye my hair into those hippies hair color--perhaps red wine color??

3. Love my family, friends & my beloved one more.
Family is the most important one, we must spend more time with them, never do something that will make us regret.
Friends...... Most of them will be busy studying or working, hope that we can still get connected.
My beloved one, hope that we can get through everything, no matter happy or sad, we must always stay strong & faithful to each other.

4. Have my own thoughts
Sometimes, I'm easily affected by peoples and I know myself well. I hope that this year I can have my own thoughts and not following other peoples' trends.

5. Travel Around.
Travel to a place, learn their cultures & languages.

6. Learn a new skill
A skill...... Cooking??!!! HAHAHA.

7. Have a clear view of what I'm doing.
Sometimes, I tend to be a bit blur of what I'm doing, and often brings a lot of trouble for me. Hopefully this year, I can have a clear picture of what I want and just do it rather than simply go without a direction and ended up a piece of shit!!!

8. Dress up like a punk.
I know this one sounds a little bit crazy, but I really want to give a try on it. HAHAHA.

Well, this is all I can think of and I hope that I can stick to my plan.I know that my plans might fail, but with courage & strength, I believe I can do it!!! Good Luck *winks*

Birthday Celebration with December Babes @ Daorae BBQ Restaurant

 Last Saturday,
is a celebration for both of my December babes--Mong Khim & J En. We all plan to celebrate their birthday at Daorae BBQ Restaurant since J En is craving for Kimchi during the pass few weeks.

Actually I've been here before and I kinda like this place, the foods are awesome, the environment is two thumbs up and not to forget to mention about their great services.

Before I start my meal,  :''Jalmukesumneda (I will eat well)''. Now let me introduce some Korean Cuisine that will let you drool throughout the introduction.

Miyeok Guk
Before we start our meal, a bowl of Miyeok Guk which known as sea vegetables soup is served.

My friends tell me that in Korea, the Korean believe that drinking Miyeok Guk during birthday will bring good fortune for the rest of the year.

HAHAHA, guest both of the birthday girls will have good luck during the coming year.

Dderk Bokgi (Rm 30)
Korean Rice Cake

The stir fried traditional Korean Rice Cake in the hot and spicy chili sauce really kick start our taste bud. The rice cake is served along with Kimchi and a hard-boiled egg.

I have to admit that I really can't take spicy food, but when I saw the rice cake, I just couldn't stop myself by lifting up my chopstick just to have one of this.

The spiciness of the sauce just give me a ''BOOM'', my face turn red after having the rice cake. HAHAHA.

Banchan.
Our meal begin with several small dishes known as Banchan which include kimchi (spicy, pickled cabbage and radish), black fungus, bean sprouts, pickled lotus, spinach, garlic,  and eggs.

They also serve a bucket full of fresh lettuce and salad for us so that we can wrap the grilled meat with the lettuce and any combination of the small dishes to give extra kick in our lettuce wrap.

After serving the Banchan, the waiter quickly set up the grill which is at the centre of the table. Above the grill, there is an exhaust to vent all the smoke and heat. All we have to do is just sit back and relax while the waiter will cook for us

Hangjung sal (RM38)
Sliced pork jowls coated with sesame oil.

Once the waiter move the meat to a cooler edge, our chopstick are prepare to have a slice of this flame- grilled delight.
The meat is juicy and tender, and the aroma of the sesame oil just burst and fill inside your mouth.

Sam-Kyub-Sal (Rm 30)
Pork belly without marinated and served with seasoned sesame oil sauce.

The juicy rich pork belly not only melt inside my mouth but also my heart. This is another dish that worth sinking one's teeth into it.

Yang-Nyum-Dak-Gal-Bi (Rm 30)
Lean skinless chicken fillet

The chicken fillets are marinated with their special soya sauce which add extra flavour to the chicken fillets. Not too salty or oily, the chicken fillets just win most of our hearts away. HAHAHA.

Many Korean restaurants will serve a basket of fresh lettuce during barbecue.  To add extra flavor to the grilled meat, you can actually have it this way--Lettuce wrap.

First, you put a piece of lettuce in your bowl, then add in the grilled meat, vegetables, sauces and everything you like into the lettuce and TADAA, your own style lettuce wrap is ready to served.

Pa- Jeon (Rm 30)
A delicate savoury Korean pancake comprising of fresh seafood in batter and topped with spring onions served together with their special sauce.

Kimchi-Jeon-Gol ( Rm 55(Small), Rm70 (Large) )
Kimchi soup served along with pork, kimchi tofu and Korean noodles in a cast iron pot.

Beo-Sut-Jeon-Gol (Rm65)
The combination of various mushroom and vegetables in a rich hearty soup. This soup is totally my favorite!!! Healthy yet nutritious.

Homemade Peach Caramel Cream Chees Crepe Cake.
Extra credit to Kate Zhulyn for making this special cake for the birthday girls.

I finally have a chance to eat her crepe cake. It is really yummy & I just couldn't stop after having the 1st scoop. I mean who can resist the temptation of this yummy dessert even having a full tummy???

Memories that never fade.
Both of my December babes, I wish that both of you always stay healthy & happy. It is really hard to have a besties like both of you, I hope that our friendship will not simply fade away.

One day trip with the love one.

Selca during the wedding ceremony, hahaha never expect that today we wear the same color T-shirt *winks*

Last Sunday,
my besties, Shi Ning & I accompany my love one, Kenny Tan to go photo shoot for his Malay friend's wedding ceremony. Well, honestly, this is my 2nd time attending a Malay wedding ceremony, overall, it is a journey that is full of laughter & unforgettable memories.

Early in the morning, we leave Penang and headed to ipoh as the wedding ceremony is at Ipoh. When we arrive Ipoh, we stop by their famous dim sum at Foh Sam Restaurant, but when we enter the restaurant,  our jaw drop, the restaurant is overcrowded, people are like standing at there, waiting for seats.

SO, we decided to change to other location--Yoke Fook Moon Restaurant to fill up our tummy. Although the restaurant is also overcrowded, but we manage to find ourselves a seat to enjoy our breakfast.

3 hungry soul & table full of dim sum preparing to fill up our tummy and satisfy our hungry soul.Never though we can finish all the dim sum. Yummy~

After that we went to Ipoh Parade to have a walk after having breakfast. The wedding ceremony is at 12.30pm, SO after window shopping at Ipoh Parade, we went to the wedding ceremony.

Pictures show thousand millions of words......
Here is some pictures about the wedding ceremony:

After photo shooting, it is almost 7 something in the evening and quickly we went back to Penang. Suddenly, Kenny Tan just have this crazy idea--watch movie. The first things that pop out from my mind is this guy is insane, instead of being tired or exhausted after the photo shooting for whole day, he seems like super hyperactive and planning to catch a movie. So we just headed to Queensbay Mall to watch Frozen.

Really enjoy the movie so much, the animation and the song I really really like it so do Kenny Tan and Shi Ning. We all plan to watch this movie again!!!
