Birthday Celebration with December Babes @ Daorae BBQ Restaurant

 Last Saturday,
is a celebration for both of my December babes--Mong Khim & J En. We all plan to celebrate their birthday at Daorae BBQ Restaurant since J En is craving for Kimchi during the pass few weeks.

Actually I've been here before and I kinda like this place, the foods are awesome, the environment is two thumbs up and not to forget to mention about their great services.

Before I start my meal,  :''Jalmukesumneda (I will eat well)''. Now let me introduce some Korean Cuisine that will let you drool throughout the introduction.

Miyeok Guk
Before we start our meal, a bowl of Miyeok Guk which known as sea vegetables soup is served.

My friends tell me that in Korea, the Korean believe that drinking Miyeok Guk during birthday will bring good fortune for the rest of the year.

HAHAHA, guest both of the birthday girls will have good luck during the coming year.

Dderk Bokgi (Rm 30)
Korean Rice Cake

The stir fried traditional Korean Rice Cake in the hot and spicy chili sauce really kick start our taste bud. The rice cake is served along with Kimchi and a hard-boiled egg.

I have to admit that I really can't take spicy food, but when I saw the rice cake, I just couldn't stop myself by lifting up my chopstick just to have one of this.

The spiciness of the sauce just give me a ''BOOM'', my face turn red after having the rice cake. HAHAHA.

Banchan.
Our meal begin with several small dishes known as Banchan which include kimchi (spicy, pickled cabbage and radish), black fungus, bean sprouts, pickled lotus, spinach, garlic,  and eggs.

They also serve a bucket full of fresh lettuce and salad for us so that we can wrap the grilled meat with the lettuce and any combination of the small dishes to give extra kick in our lettuce wrap.

After serving the Banchan, the waiter quickly set up the grill which is at the centre of the table. Above the grill, there is an exhaust to vent all the smoke and heat. All we have to do is just sit back and relax while the waiter will cook for us

Hangjung sal (RM38)
Sliced pork jowls coated with sesame oil.

Once the waiter move the meat to a cooler edge, our chopstick are prepare to have a slice of this flame- grilled delight.
The meat is juicy and tender, and the aroma of the sesame oil just burst and fill inside your mouth.

Sam-Kyub-Sal (Rm 30)
Pork belly without marinated and served with seasoned sesame oil sauce.

The juicy rich pork belly not only melt inside my mouth but also my heart. This is another dish that worth sinking one's teeth into it.

Yang-Nyum-Dak-Gal-Bi (Rm 30)
Lean skinless chicken fillet

The chicken fillets are marinated with their special soya sauce which add extra flavour to the chicken fillets. Not too salty or oily, the chicken fillets just win most of our hearts away. HAHAHA.

Many Korean restaurants will serve a basket of fresh lettuce during barbecue.  To add extra flavor to the grilled meat, you can actually have it this way--Lettuce wrap.

First, you put a piece of lettuce in your bowl, then add in the grilled meat, vegetables, sauces and everything you like into the lettuce and TADAA, your own style lettuce wrap is ready to served.

Pa- Jeon (Rm 30)
A delicate savoury Korean pancake comprising of fresh seafood in batter and topped with spring onions served together with their special sauce.

Kimchi-Jeon-Gol ( Rm 55(Small), Rm70 (Large) )
Kimchi soup served along with pork, kimchi tofu and Korean noodles in a cast iron pot.

Beo-Sut-Jeon-Gol (Rm65)
The combination of various mushroom and vegetables in a rich hearty soup. This soup is totally my favorite!!! Healthy yet nutritious.

Homemade Peach Caramel Cream Chees Crepe Cake.
Extra credit to Kate Zhulyn for making this special cake for the birthday girls.

I finally have a chance to eat her crepe cake. It is really yummy & I just couldn't stop after having the 1st scoop. I mean who can resist the temptation of this yummy dessert even having a full tummy???

One day trip with the love one.

Selca during the wedding ceremony, hahaha never expect that today we wear the same color T-shirt *winks*

Last Sunday,
my besties, Shi Ning & I accompany my love one, Kenny Tan to go photo shoot for his Malay friend's wedding ceremony. Well, honestly, this is my 2nd time attending a Malay wedding ceremony, overall, it is a journey that is full of laughter & unforgettable memories.

Early in the morning, we leave Penang and headed to ipoh as the wedding ceremony is at Ipoh. When we arrive Ipoh, we stop by their famous dim sum at Foh Sam Restaurant, but when we enter the restaurant,  our jaw drop, the restaurant is overcrowded, people are like standing at there, waiting for seats.

SO, we decided to change to other location--Yoke Fook Moon Restaurant to fill up our tummy. Although the restaurant is also overcrowded, but we manage to find ourselves a seat to enjoy our breakfast.

3 hungry soul & table full of dim sum preparing to fill up our tummy and satisfy our hungry soul.Never though we can finish all the dim sum. Yummy~

After that we went to Ipoh Parade to have a walk after having breakfast. The wedding ceremony is at 12.30pm, SO after window shopping at Ipoh Parade, we went to the wedding ceremony.

Pictures show thousand millions of words......
Here is some pictures about the wedding ceremony:

After photo shooting, it is almost 7 something in the evening and quickly we went back to Penang. Suddenly, Kenny Tan just have this crazy idea--watch movie. The first things that pop out from my mind is this guy is insane, instead of being tired or exhausted after the photo shooting for whole day, he seems like super hyperactive and planning to catch a movie. So we just headed to Queensbay Mall to watch Frozen.

Really enjoy the movie so much, the animation and the song I really really like it so do Kenny Tan and Shi Ning. We all plan to watch this movie again!!!
